ALEXIS CORBIN
A native of Portland, OR, Alexis Corbin, percussion, studied with J.B. Smith and Mark Sunkett at Arizona State University. She enjoys the diverse opportunities of the percussion world, having performed with the likes of the Chamber Orchestra of Albuquerque, the New Mexico Symphony Orchestra, virtuoso oud musician Rahim AlHaj, the steel drum ensemble Steel Groove II, the Bill Evans Dance Company, Kawambe-Omowale African Drum and Dance Theater, the Drums of Senegal tour (Guediawaye, Senegal), and the Celtic group Half Gypsy. She currently performs with Opera Southwest, the Santa Fe Symphony, and the Sol Calypso Steel Drum Band.
