JAMES FELBERG

James Felberg, cello, received his Doctor of Medicine degree at the University of New Mexico, and spent six years as a physician in the Department of Emergency Medicine at Plains Regional Medical Center in Clovis, New Mexico. In addition, he has served as Medical Director of CLC-Pecos Valley Care Center, Medical Director of De Baca Family Practice Center and Medical Director of De Baca County Emergency Medical Services in Ft. Sumner, New Mexico. He has also served as Medical Director of Emergency Medical Services-Region III, serving a 12 county region in Southwestern N.M. He has been a lecturer for UNMSOM in rural Emergency Medicine, Medical Director of an International Health project in India to fund and give technical support for a charity hospital serving 3,000 Buddhist monks in Mungod, India, and was appointed to Gov. Richardson’s Task Force on Trauma Systems in N.M. After serving two years as a primary care physician at The San Juan Family Medical Center in Montrose, Colorado, he relocated to Lubbock, Texas, where he was appointed to Covenant Medical Center as an Emergency Room physician. As a professional cellist, Dr. Felberg has performed with the New Mexico Symphony Orchestra, Santa Fe Opera, Santa Fe Symphony, Roswell Symphony, Musica de Camera of Santa Fe and Oncydium Haydn Orchestra.
