JOANNA DE KEYSER
Joanna de Keyser is Professor Emerita at the University of New Mexico, and the cellist of the Seraphin Trio and the Verano Trio.
After winning a medal in the Geneva International Competition, she has performed extensively in the solo and chamber music capacity throughout the USA and Europe. She has received high acclaim from major music critics for her solo performances in New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, San Francisco, London, Athens, Oslo, Amsterdam and Mexico City. While she was a participant in the Pablo Casals Master Classes, a film made of her lesson on the Dvorak Concerto won the Vienna Film Prize. Her primary teachers were Gabor Rejto and Andre Navarra.
During the summers she has performed with the Carmel Bach Festival and the Santa Fe Chamber Music Festival. She also has taught and performed at Rocky Ridge Music Center in Estes Park, Colorado, and at the Summer Music Academy based in Seoul, South Korea.
